Murder at the Zoo
Agatha, Raymond, Sherlock & Me Mystery Series
Book One
by Marcia Rosen

GENRE: Mystery

BOOK BLURB:
A body is tossed into the lion’s habitat at the zoo where Miranda Scott is the senior vet. She and Detective Bryan Anderson join forces to unravel that mystery and several more murders. A fan since childhood of Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler, and Sherlock Holmes they seem to live in her head frequently telling her what to do…and not do. Murders, family, deceit, revenge and a gangster father and godfather often get in the way of a fine romance between Miranda and the Detective.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:
“I realize you’ve had a rough time at the Zoo, but I need to know-last night, what did you see on the dead man’s arm? You recognized something. I saw that look you get.”
“Look, what look?”
“Was it the ring? The tattoo? It was the tattoo, wasn’t it? You flinched.”
Six months younger than Miranda, Anderson had been on the force for twelve years, a detective for four and asking her out for over two years.
“I don’t date younger men,” was her usual reply.
Truth was she found him very attractive.
“He’s too attractive,” Miranda told Emma.
“Women are always fussing about him.” Miranda refused to say anymore when Emma pushed her to go out with him. At slightly under six feet tall, with light brown hair that curled at his neck, and bold green eyes, Bryan had been adopted when he was three months old, lived in Albuquerque all his life and, as he put it, “I don’t care who gave birth to me.”
Miranda thought he protested too much.
