Selena Rose
by Rhiannon Futch
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Paranormal Romance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
23-year-old
Selena is a single mom with a bonus, witchy healing abilities. What happens
when her ex walks back into her life with an agenda?
As is
that wasn’t enough this gorgeous, though obviously crazy, woman shows up at her
favorite café claiming to be her dead mom.
Selena
just wants to keep raising her daughter in peace, maybe date that hot shifter
she knows, is that really too much to ask?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXCERPT TWO:
“I
don’t know really. The voice told me what to do, so I did it. The voice is also
what warned me to put a shield on this. I am worried that I am hearing a voice
in my head but so far it is saving my butt. I didn’t have shielding this stuff
planned."
After
some time the ropes have finally burnt to ashes and Selena tells Linnette,
"Grab the salt and just throw hands full over all of it. It will go
through the bubble without hurting it."
"Will
do."
By
the time she is done the area looks as though there has been a freak snowstorm
but nothing has even twitched inside the bubble. All is ash and salt.
Selena
drops the bubble, grabs a stick and stirs the ashes and salt well. The two
women step back, arms companionably around each other and stare in silence for
a bit, slightly shell shocked with what just happened.
Finally,
Selena speaks, "I think we need wine."
"YES."
The
ladies turn and walk inside, Linnette pulling out her phone and calling the
group to get to Selena's and bring more wine. Selena moves to the cabinet and
grabs a full bottle of Moscato along with two large glasses.
As
Linnette gets off the phone Selena hands her a glass while taking a deep draw
from her own.”
Rhiannon ~ Good morning! Welcome to FAB! It is so great to have you here! Congrats on your new book and good luck on the book tour! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteWhat character was the most fun to write?
ReplyDeleteI loved writing Selena. The further I got in the series the more sassy she got. Book 3 is my favorite because she is way more confident and knows a lot more, she has been through some things.
DeleteThanks for sharing Rhiannon! Tell me, in your world, are supernatural creatures "Out" to the general public or are they in hiding? It seems like either would be interesting to read!
ReplyDeleteIn my world they are both. The town that they live in is relatively secluded and spelled to aid in the forgetfulness of visitors that see anything strange. When they go out in the rest of the world they have to be more cautious about showing themselves.
DeleteI love to read this genre, sounds good!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThank you everyone that has commented! I really appreciate your feedback and I love answering your questions.
ReplyDeleteHave you read any good books in quarantine. Congrats on the release.
ReplyDeleteI have read some great books in quarantine. K. F. Breene recently released a new one in her Demigods series, Kristen Painter released a new one, and I plan to go after Robyn Peterman's book that released today.
DeleteRhiannon Futch is a new author to me. Thanks for the intro to her and her work.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it! I have a new series in progress, the first one of that series will be released next month.
DeleteThis sounds like a great book!
ReplyDeleteI hope your book is a success. It sounds like a good read.
