EXCERPT ONE:

Free to ponder, as his mother had urged, Kord shook off the troublesome feeling of being torn in several directions. He knew his parents worried, and he couldn’t avoid the inevitability of choice much longer.

Royals had strict duty to family and kingdom. Kord’s mate had been near her time of majority when he’d traveled to Anglican to meet her. The kingdom in an uproar, her tearful parents had met him with the devastating news of her death. Instead of a joyous announcement of impending joining, he’d returned to Draconian alone.

His dragon had been uncharacteristically silent since that fateful day, and Kord missed his beast’s conversation.

Enough, he thought bitterly, saddened and angered by the loss of a mate he never knew.

Refusing to dwell on things he couldn’t control, he cleared his mind of the memories and dove lower, seeking what enjoyment he could muster from the day.

Suddenly, something dropped onto his back, between his wingspan.

Something cold and soft.

Something that had limbs . . . and smelled unfamiliar. Not of this realm.

“What the demon?” He banked quickly as he felt the lightweight, chilled lump slide precariously to the left. Worried it might fall—whatever it was—Kord maneuvered gingerly, until he could descend safely into an open pasture.

He touched down lightly over the bumpy ground-scrub, careful to avoid jostling his unknown burden, turned his head to glance behind him . . .

And stared disbelieving at a vision from a dream.

REVIEW:

Reading this book is like stepping into a whole new world filled with endless possibilities.  This book takes you on a magical adventure that reminds you there is no limit to the imagination.  You will definitely find yourself thrown into this heart-pounding experience and not want to come back out. 

So Lily and Kord are in love.  Just one little problem – Lily doesn’t know it!  Lol!  Kord must convince Lily that they are destined to be together.

Besides that one little setback, Kord must also protect Lily from the danger that is following her.  Seems simple enough right?!  Make the girl fall in love with you and keep her safe lol. 

I was honestly a tad bit skeptical about this book as it seemed there were so many elements to it that I was worried one would get lost in translation or bored at the beyond imaginable storyline.  Thankfully I was proved wrong and was actually quite impressed with the quality and detail this dream team created.  This book has a fantastic worldbuilding concept!  Even though this book is fantasy, I was surprised by how well described the authors spent in these writings which brought the story to life and made these scenes seem plausible.

I really liked the characters and creatures in this book as they were very interesting and all brought something to the table.

Kord is sexy, suave, dangerous, mysterious, and passionate.  Lily is more quiet, reserved, and a bit naïve.  But hey they say opposites attract, right?!  And this makes for some exciting and intense chemistry between these two characters.

The main genre of this book is paranormal; however, this book touches on so many additional genres!  This book also features fantasy, romance, mystery, suspense, and comedy.  Even with so many compartments and being written by two authors, the writing flows and is evenly paced.

There are a couple surprises and a few mysterious and suspenseful scenes.

This book was such a quick and easy, but fun read!  I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone that enjoys paranormal romance books.  However, please note that there are a few hot and steamy adult scenes that may not be appropriate for a young reader or someone who would be offended by those actions.

This book is book one in the “Soul Mate Tree,” book series and there are many more books planned for this intriguing series.  There is definitely quite a bit of creativity stirring up in these duo’s heads!  I am very interested to see how this series unfolds and how the stories are interweaved and come together.  There are definitely big things ahead for this dream team and I look forward to following this new book series.
