I
love cheese, but for health and diet reasons I have to limit my intake. So I was thrilled to be asked to review this
product, Nutritional Yeast Superfood from Sari Foods Co.
Nutritional
Yeast Superfood comes in a small, 8 ounce, glossy, yellow-orange bag. I liked that the bag was resealable which
kept the yeast fresh and secure.
Immediately after opening the bag I smelled a pleasant, but strong cheese and nut
scent.
I
love how easily this product was to use and how complementary this product is as it goes with so many food dishes. Nutritional
Yeast Superfood is flakey and is in like a powder form which made pinching and
sprinkling this product on foods simple.
I
have used this product, Nutritional Yeast Superfood on chili, tacos, baked
potatoes, salads, popcorn, spaghetti, rice, soup, hummus, and ranch dip. I usually just sprinkled this product on top
of the food item and it naturally soaked into the food. However, with the hummus and ranch dip I
stirred and mixed the Nutritional Yeast Superfood until it became creamy and
well blended. Nutritional Yeast
Superfood tasted a lot like parmesan cheese with a hint of nut.
This
product also came with an email from the company that provided a 50+ recipe
book. I thought that was a wonderful
addition to the product and it provided several food inspiration ideas.
I
love that this product is comprised of 50% protein and has over 20% fiber which

fiber intake so I really liked that this product could help me meet my diet
goals.
I
also really like that this product is 100% whole food based and is naturally occurring. Nutritional Yeast Superfood is also gluten
free, dairy free, msg free, vegan, and low in sodium and fat. I like knowing what ingredients are in the
foods I eat and I feel safe eating Nutritional Yeast Superfood from Sari Foods Co.
Although
this product is considered to help with weight loss, I did not lose any weight
while using this product. However, I
could see this product as a positive life changer that helps you lose a few
pounds a year. Perhaps if you are an
avid cheese eater and you were to completely replace your cheese consumption
with Nutritional Yeast Superfood you would then reduce your calorie intake and
therefore could possibly lose more weight.
Since I don't eat cheese on a regular basis, substituting this product
doesn’t significantly decrease my calorie intake enough to lose weight.
I
like the taste, how versatile this product is, and how it is super healthy and
full of vitamins and nutrients. There
are several wonderful benefits that this product offers and I think it is a
great addition to incorporate into your meals.
