It’s the week before Christmas as tea maven Theodosia Browning and her tea sommelier, Drayton, cater a fancy Victorian Christmas party for Miss Drucilla Heyward, one of Charleston’s wealthy doyennes. But smack dab in the middle of the Fa-la-la’s, Miss Drucilla is murdered, her gold rings stolen off her fingers, and a genuine Renoir snatched off the wall.

The police come screaming in while Theodosia peers speculatively at the guests and wonders – whodunit? Urged on by Miss Drucilla’s personal assistant, Theodosia runs a shadow investigation on suspects that include wealthy neighbors, a handyman named Smokey, an unscrupulous art dealer, and the executive directors of two local charities who were in line for donations.

As Theodosia continually finds herself in hot water, she also hosts numerous holiday tea parties, stumbles upon a second dead body, and shelters a cadre of homeless dogs who come to her rescue in the surprise ending. This Tea Shop Mystery is written with pacing, plot twists, and action reminiscent of a thriller and is liberally sprinkled with the magic of Christmas.

“This is an absolute nightmare,” Drayton continued. “Miss Drucilla was so happy and carefree only a short while ago when she showed us her rings. Five gold rings is how she phrased it. You know, like from that song The Twelve Days of Christmas. But now . . . one can barely comprehend that some monster crept into her party and killed her! Made off with every one of her diamond rings.” He shook his head, unable to process such senseless cruelty and violence.

Theodosia, who’d been eyeing the wall directly behind Drayton, suddenly spoke up. “I’m afraid Miss Drucilla’s collection of rings isn’t the only thing that’s missing.” She lifted a hand and pointed to a conspicuous blank space. “So is the painting that was hanging right there.”

“What!” Drayton cried as he spun around. Others had overheard Theodosia’s words and were staring at the wall as well.

Detective Tidwell’s mouth worked furiously for a few moments as he digested this new revelation. He took a step forward and said, “A painting?” His eyes swept the gallery of paintings that were clustered like large, colorful postage stamps on the wall. He seemed to be confirming the fact that a blank space did indeed exist.

“I swear!” A man’s voice rose in stunned shock. “I think the painting that hung there . . . it was a Renoir!”

My Review:

I am an avid tea drinker and I am always interested in trying new health, wellness, and weight loss products.  So I was very excited to be asked to review this product, Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha from Kiss Me Organics. 

Kiss Me Organics product, Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha came in a small, tin canister.  Inside the can was a thin aluminum bag that contained the Matcha powder.  I liked that this product came in a resealable can so that the Matcha powder would stay fresh and secure.

I had never tried Green Tea Matcha before so I couldn't wait to make my first cup of tea of Kiss Me’s Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha.

The directions were easy to follow.  I used my Keurig to quickly heat up hot water.  I scooped ½ teaspoon of the Matcha powder into the tea cup.  I then whisked the tea in a zigzag motion until the Matcha powder became dissolved and frothy.

Kiss Me Organics product, Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha smelled and tasted somewhat like green tea.  However, this product was much smoother, softer, and more natural than regular green teas.  Unfortunately, it did taste a little bitter so I added a Sweet ‘N Low packet and 1 teaspoon of honey.  I like my tea sweet so the added sweetener was very complementary.

My Review:

I am always interested in trying new health and fitness products, so I was very excited to be asked to try this product, Infinite Joy by Reduxa.  I couldn't wait to try this product after reading the product details and other reviews.

First off, the shipping package that this product came in was too small.  The product had been folded in half and barely fit in the shipping package.  However, this is not a product issue; it’s the distribution center at Amazon that placed this product in the shipping package.  I have left shipping feedback on Amazon so hopefully this will be corrected.

The product itself, Infinite Joy, came in a nice, white, glossy bag that was resealable which kept the tea bags fresh and secure.  Immediately after opening the bag I smelled a strong black licorice scent.  Unfortunately, I am not a huge fan of black licorice, but I was still interested in trying it.

As directed, I poured 8 ounces of hot boiled water into a teacup over the tea bag.  I then covered the cup and steeped for 5 minutes as it was recommended to let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes.  The suggested usage of this product, Infinite Joy, is 2-3 cups a day and preferably between meals.

I made my first cup of Infinite Joy tea in the late morning.  Unfortunately, I barely made it through drinking the whole cup.  The bold scent and taste of black licorice was so intense I had been gagging on the tea.  I thought if the weight loss benefits could outweigh the taste I would try to get through this.

I did feel fuller and less hungry after drinking the tea.  I ended up not eating my afternoon and mid-day snack.  I also ate a smaller portion of dinner that night.  Sadly, I couldn't bring myself to continue drinking this product, Infinite Joy.  I do however; believe this product may be successful with weight loss.  Infinite Joy made me less hungry as it suppressed my appetite.  This then lead to less snacking and smaller meal portions.  Therefore, with eating less you’ll be consuming fewer calories, and will ultimately lose weight.

I really liked how this product, Infinite Joy, is made with 21 herbal ingredients and is 100% natural.  I also really liked how there is no caffeine in this product, so you can drink it whenever and not worry about it keeping you awake late at night. 

Even though this product wasn't for me, I still recommend it to people who are trying to lose weight and people interested in natural, herbal products.  If you happen to like black licorice or can get past the vigorous scent and taste, then you should try Infinite Joy.
