Happy New Year's Day!!

Happy New Year’s Day lovelies!

Wow!  Another new year already?  Normally by end of Christmas I am exhausted and ready to just move on to the next year…  But at the same time, I feel a bit overwhelmed that the year is over and that there was so much I didn’t get done and resolutions I didn’t accomplish…  However, this year is different…  Although, no, I still didn’t complete all my resolutions and there were many things I wish I had achieved in 2017…  But over the last few months of 2017, I was able to start getting some big projects in the works that has helped set 2018 in the right direction.  So, I finally feel excited to begin this year!  I think 2018 is going to be a GREAT year and I can’t wait to get started!

Wishing you all a bright and prosperous New Year, filled with happiness for you and your family!

My New Year's Resolution Lists

Hi lovelies!  Hope your new year is starting off well.  I just finished writing my new year’s resolution list.  I am so excited to share with you my goals for 2016.

This year is going to be fabulous!  So fabulous I created two New Year’s Resolutions lists to help make this year – THE year!

There are so many goals I have this year on a personal and professional level.  Unfortunately, some of these goals weren’t met last year so they have been carried over to work on this year.  I’m trying to not look at them as a failure, but more as a second chance.

This year’s personal goals focus mostly on fitness, health, organization, and spending more time with family and friends.

This year’s blogging goals focus mostly on improving the quality and frequency of posts, updating the look, working with other bloggers, and more outreach with readers.

Here are my top 10 Personal New Year’s Resolutions:

  1. Reconnect with friends, spend more time together, and build a stronger relationship with them
  2. Make sure girls (Dolce and Adrina) get daily play/exercise
  3. Workout at least 3x a week
  4. Drink at least 3 bottles of water each day
  5. Drink at least 1 less diet soda a day
  6. Increase protein intake
  7. Decrease Starbucks outings and fast food binges
  8. Sync FB calendar to not miss friends bdays
  9. Organize storage items
  10. Finally set up X Box One and gaming area

Here are my top 10 Blogging New Year’s Resolutions:

  1. Take and post more pictures on Social Media
  2. Improve blog content and post frequency
  3. Test and post reviews of at least 3 products per week
  4. Connect with and increase readership numbers
  5. Host more giveaways
  6. Update the blog look
  7. Collaborate with other bloggers/Guest posts
  8. Post on additional blogging topics
  9. Attend a blogging convention
  10. Create email subscription

What do you think of my New Year’s Resolutions lists?  Do you make a New Year’s Resolutions list?  What goals are on your list this year?  How many things were you able to cross off your list last year?

New Year's Eve Quote!

I totally love this quote!  What a great way to look at the beginning of the new year!  Plus one of my favorite country music singers said it!

Here’s to a fabulous 2016 filled with lots of love and happiness!  I hope to make every minute count and live every moment to its fullest!  So excited to start writing my new book tomorrow!  Happy New's Eve lovelies!  How will you start your first page tomorrow?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  Okay I know what you're thinking – yes, it’s February 1st not January 1st.  I am aware that I am technically a month late from the normal tradition.

I've always been a believer in New Year Resolutions.  I think it’s important for people to want to make positive changes in their lives.  Now I don’t think you have to wait for the New Year to make changes, but I do think it is a great time to reflect on your life and determine how your life can be better or fuller.

However, I feel like the month of January is swarmed with people trying to make those changes and often get off to either a rocky start or get easily discouraged.  It’s almost like a competition – who can lose the most weight, who will be the first to see results, who will complete their resolutions list first.  It gets to the point where I think people get confused and side tracked on what their resolutions truly meant.  It shouldn't be a competition with others.  If anything it should be a competition with yourself.  Your resolutions should be a list of items that improve your life, your family’s, and your community.

So over the past few years I thought I’d try something new; I would start my New Year’s Resolutions February 1st instead of like most of the world who starts on January 1st.  The extra month allows me to consider and construct a more refined resolutions list.  Plus, it gives me an extra month to finish all my leftover Christmas candy.  This late New Year’s Resolutions start has helped me stay on task and focus on the positive life changes I want to make.

Here are my top 10 New Year’s Resolutions:

1.    Workout at least 3x a week
2.    Reconnect with friends, spend more time together, and build a stronger relationship with them
3.    Talk to grandparents at least once a week
4.   Volunteer at least once a month
5.    Test and post reviews of at least 3 products a week
6.   Connect with and increase readership numbers
7.    Make sure girls [Dolce and Adrina] get daily play/exercise
8.   Drink at least one less [diet] soda a day
9.   Drink at least three bottles of water a day
10. Re-learn and practice French

What are your New Year’s Resolutions?  What do you think of the late start idea?
