BLURB:

Back in the Bronze Age, Angus McCraggan sacrificed his life to break the Celtic curse laid on his kind. He failed. Millennia later, he returns to modern Ireland to find his people have become feral, vengeful shadows. With his hollow hill now packed with tourists, he uses his power to keep his past hidden.

Until an American calls him out.

Since a banshee attacked her as a teen, Erin De Santos has been tormented by dreams of a boy she’s never met. Armed with a new identity, she returns to the Emerald Isle determined to face her nightmare. But her discovery turns fatal.

When the banshee strikes again, Angus surrenders his heart—and his hope of freeing his people—to save her. With his life now hers and his curse descending, Erin must make a terrible choice: kill her savior or share his doom.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:

She raised her chin. “My towel, please. You’re in front of it.”

He grabbed the towel and passed it to her with one hand while switching the shower off with the other. Attempting to shrug free of the curtain, she turned as he reached. They ended up nose to nose, her waist against his arm, her skin warm and damp.

She smelled of his soap, the shared scent a claim to her body he hadn’t known he needed to make. Her eyes were the same rich darkness as peat, and they bound him as surely as the earth he’d slept under. He couldn’t look away, let alone leave.

“Are you just going to smolder at me, McCraggan, or do something about it?”

Such bravado and yet her gaze fell from his as she spoke. A reminder that giving his heart was a one-sided transaction, and she did not feel as he did. He forced a grin. “And here’s me thinking a little smolder might dry you, mo chroí, since you don’t seem to be planning on using that towel.”

She flicked a length of hair at him, splashing his face. “You don’t fool me, McCraggan. You like me wet.”

“True.” His lips twitched into a smile of honest delight, and she took a step back, her eyes wide and unfocused with the same stunned cast as someone poleaxed. “I’d also like you not to catch a chill.”

Catching the edge of her towel, he started to wrap it around her, only to have her snatch it from his grasp and toss it to the floor. Leaning forward, she placed the palms of her hands on his bare chest. Her hands didn’t shift, but her touch lit a trail down to his groin all the same.

She wanted him.

Such a desire was dangerous when she had no idea of the hunger it lit within him, no understanding of the responsibilities it created. If she was to stay, he would have to explain. But she was a tourist, and she would soon leave the country—as tourists did.

Kissing was safe.

He meant to sip and savor the soft, ripe sweetness of her mouth without the salt of tears. Yet, when her hand rose to lock around his neck and her tongue quested urgently for his, he deepened the kiss in an instant and instinctive response. Too long alone, abstinent and starved of affection, he appreciated her eagerness until it veered into impatience.

This should be a dance, not a fight to the finish. And she wanted to move faster and harder than he was ready for, tugging his bottom lip with her teeth and grinding her hips against him. Aroused from the moment he’d opened the door, he reached blindingly hard.

  2. I don’t think I’ve read a book with a banshee in it yet, so this sounds super interesting

    1. Strange they aren’t more common. Here in Ireland, people still hear them before someone dies. I know a couple of people who are adamant they’ve experienced this.

  3. I love the cover, synopsis and excerpt and I am looking forward to reading God of Summer. I know that there are more stories coming but without giving too much away can you tell me if there is a God of each season?

    1. Yes. Titles still secret but one will feature the goddess of healing and another the god of the dead.
