Flight 182 crashes in San Diego, everyone aboard is killed, including Reza Roshtti, who is on his way to present the final plans for a top secret project to his employer, California Robotics. Giti Roshtti appears on a newscast after the doomed flight, Jaffar Hamid Harraj is smitten with the bereaved widow who lives across the globe in the United States.
When Jack Coward, an ex-marine turned private investigator, is hired to find out everything he can about this beautiful woman, Jack sets in motion circumstances that bring Giti and Jaffar together. Unfortunately for Giti, Jaffar Harraj has a deep, dark secret. Jaffar is not only a senior member of the Islamic Hamas Movement, but a psychotic killer.
Jaffar's aim is to use Giti's U.S. citizenship as a mechanism through which he can establish inroads into the United States, the Great Satan of the western world and land of the infidels. One of the missions of Islamic Hamas is to spread terror throughout the United States.
The United States newest lettered agency, NATA or National Anti-Terrorist Agency has some new recruits, Jack Coward and his life-long friend Don Ziegler. They team up with other members of NATA, including ex-Air Force Lieutenant Michelle Hough, to try and discover the plans of Jaffar and the Islamic Hamas, and how Giti is involved in the two.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:
It was only eight o’clock in the morning. For the last couple of evenings, Jack and Donny had spent time not only going over the files from Giti’s lawyer’s office, but also her banking records and credit card statements that Donny had brought with him from Washington. It was time to put this baby to bed.
Jack took out a carefully folded piece of paper from his wallet and dialed the Las Vegas number written on it. “Mr. Hussan! Jack Coward here. I’ve got the information you requested.”
“That’s excellent news, Mr. Harraj will be most pleased. When can we meet?”
Jack stopped short when he heard that name. In an instant, the investigation changed for him. He didn’t know Giti—but he was pretty sure he knew who ‘Harraj’ was. He knew a little about terrorist activity through some of his old-school connections in the military, but since his Vietnam years he hadn’t really kept up. But he doubted there were too many men named ‘Mr. Harraj’ with the resources to hire a private investigator in the United States just to track down a woman.
“I’d like to some more investigating,” Jack said coyly, thinking on his feet. “There are a few more things I’d like to check out. I will be back in Las Vegas on Saturday and I’ll bring you my report then, as long as you have the balance of my money.”
“Agreed. You know the number!” The line went dead.
All of a sudden, investigating Giti seemed like small potatoes. Now Jack was curious. If this was the man he suspected it was, what would a big-time terrorist like Jaffar Harraj want with a recently-widowed woman in America? Perhaps it wasn’t her he was after at all. Perhaps his motives were more sinister.
He decided to review the photographs Donny had taken over the course of the last week. Donny had been peering through a telephoto lens, whereas Jack had been observing with the unaided eye; he needed to see more closely this woman that Jaffar was so interested in.
He pulled the photos out of their manila envelope and started looking through them; after closely peering at the eight by ten stills of the widow Roshtti, Jack could understand what Jaffar saw—at least in her physical aspects. She was gorgeous; both exotic and spirited-looking. It surprised him that long-dead feelings began to stir when he saw her soulful eyes and perfect, pursed lips. Her face was clouded with mourning for her husband and he wished he could know and comfort her.
“I’m not turning that woman over to that louse, Harraj,” he muttered to himself.
“Jack, it’s not good to mix business with pleasure,” Donny said, coming up silently behind him. “You know that!”
“What the hell do you know, Donny? Do you think you’re a bloody psychic now? You think you know what I’m thinking?”

AUTHOR BIO:
Ronald Fabick was inspired to start writing when an author told him, "If you can read a book, you can write a book". Within two weeks he had the first chapter of Turbulent Skies written.
Prior to becoming an author, Ron spent over thirty years as a Senior Structural draftsman. He uses this extensive engineering experience to add depth and reality to his stories. In his spare time, Ron enjoys crafting furniture in his workshop and tinkering on his vintage truck. Ron now resides on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
