EXCERPT TWO:

Was Wulf truly my mate or did he only want me for my psychic abilities?  More importantly, could I trust him? I suddenly felt his solid muscles, his heat, his strength wrapped around me; and for the first time in my life I felt safe.

"I never stopped looking for you, worrying about you. Were you getting enough to eat. Were you safe? When I finally found you, I could breathe again. Colors became brighter. My life had meaning. I need you and only you." With slow, exquisite care Wulf kissed me.

The emptiness inside me vanished and just like that I knew Wulf was the other half of my soul. Weird.

"Not weird. Fate," Wulf corrected. He danced his mouth over mine. Once, twice.

Goddess that felt good. "I love the way you kiss."

"I've waited so long to touch you." I could feel the intensity of his hunger, the driving need to possess me.

"What's stopping you?" A strangled gasp tore from me when dozens of psychic hands roamed over my body, igniting my blood. "More."

Wulf's phantom mouths closed over each of my nipples and he sucked them until I thought my senses would implode.

Ziyad whispered in my head. “Did you know; you’re broadcasting you’re having sex?”

“What!”

"Stop!" Loki growled. "She's not of age yet."

What a mood killer. "I will be in two months."

"And you'll wait until then," Colburn gritted.

AUTHOR BIO:

I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the Glendale Police Department and to keep from going totally bonkers – I mean people have no idea of what a real emergency is. Take this for an example: I answered, “9-1-1 emergency, what’s your emergency?” And this hysterical woman yelled, “My bird is in a tree.” Sometimes I really couldn’t help myself, so I said, “Birds have a tendency to do that, ma’am.” The woman screeched, “No! You don’t understand. My pet parakeet is in the tree. I’ve just got to get him down.” Like I said, not a clue. “I’m sorry ma’am, but we don’t get birds out of trees.” The woman then cried, “But… What about my husband? He’s up there, too.” See what I had to deal with? To keep from hitting myself repeatedly in the head with my phone, I took up writing.
